Lead Accounts Payable Specialist

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Lead Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of hybrid work.

The ideal candidate will excel in supporting a compliant, highvolume procuretopay (P2P) function, including PO and nonPO invoice processing, temporary labor, freight and logistics invoices, and PCard activity. They will demonstrate strong organizational discipline and exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transaction entry, reporting, and adherence to internal policies.

This individual will collaborate effectively across teams to strengthen global P2P processes, address vendor and internal inquiries with professionalism, and apply endtoend P2P expertise to identify process bottlenecks. They will also drive continuous improvement and automation efforts while producing auditready analyses and documentation.

• Manage the freight invoice lifecycle-uploading, manual entry, validation, and payment processing.
• Oversee the temporary labor invoice process, including upload, manual entry, and payment execution.
• Serve as PCard Administrator, ensuring compliance and timely processing.
• Support the monthend close process, including preparing reclasses and account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly accruals for freight and temporary labor expenses.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and desktop procedures to support consistent and compliant operations.
• Ensure Accounts Payable activities comply with statutory requirements, company policies, internal controls, and Finance department objectives.
• Partner with crossfunctional teams to implement process and system improvements, support global initiatives, and identify automation opportunities.
• Provide timely and professional issue resolution for vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Utilize endtoend P2P expertise to identify operational bottlenecks, lead continuous improvement efforts, and prepare detailed analyses, schedules, and auditready documentation.

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a large public company.
• Proven ability to perform in a highvolume, fastpaced environment.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and review processes.
• Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting systems and working knowledge of SOX compliance.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and solid problemsolving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

• Experience with Oracle and SAP.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance (or relevant Business field).
• Prior experience leading processes or people in an AP environment.
