Description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
  • Verify invoice details, confirm validity of charges, and obtain appropriate approvals for payment
  • Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Work with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve vendor invoice discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
  • Enter new vendors and maintain accurate, up-to-date vendor records in the ERP system
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers
  • Maintain organized records of invoices and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies



Required Skills:



  • 1+ years of work experience in accounting
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization



Desired Skills:



  • Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP systems preferred but not essential
  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent
  • Prior manufacturing experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Team player and strong attention to detail
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Strong experience with MS Office, especially Excel and familiarity with an ERP system is a plus



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to sit and stand for an extending period
  • Ability to type
  • Be able to lift 20lbs



Compensation Information:

Base Hourly Range: $ 25.00 - $28.00

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
