Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer - Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of the Developer Experience (DevEx) team, responsible for improving the experience for developers, advancing technology platforms, and reducing risk across the technology portfolio. The Application Programmer will develop and deliver complex software solutions that meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is familiar with development and testing practices within a large enterprise environment. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver complex requirements to accomplish business goals Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements Code solutions, create unit tests, and ensure the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces Improve the experience for developers, making it easier to deliver industry-leading solutions Reduce risk and improve quality by aligning to enterprise architecture strategy Requirements: 5+ years of application programming experience Languages: Java (Spring Boot), Python (for utilities), SQL Architectural patterns: Microservices, event-driven, REST, batch/stream, idempotency, backpressure Experience with REST/GraphQL testing, pagination, retries, and backoff Knowledge of authorization flows (OAuth2/JWT/mTLS) and rate limits Experience with data movement: ETL/ELT, CDC, near-real-time streaming, bulk/batch Primary Skill: Spring Boot Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
