What to Expect
The Regional Energy Material Planner is responsible for ensuring all components required for Energy Customer Orders are available at the primary fulfillment location, at optimal efficiency. This individual must fully understand Tesla's supply chain, warehousing processes and customer demand, as well as be an expert within their assigned region for all Energy materials. They will deploy inventory strategies, be responsible for product change and associated material planning implications, manage and solve exceptions and escalations. This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, cross functional engagement, and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Review all upcoming demand to available and forecasted inventory levels, provide optimized solutions to close gaps. Monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure that they are accurate and timely
  • Ensure orders are appropriately prioritized with warehousing labor, materials and logistics to support customer needs
  • Assist in development and implementation Standard Operating Procedures for inventory and materials as required
  • Identify process and system gaps and highlight areas for optimization/automation with the goal of driving projects to improve these areas
  • Take a high level of ownership of site training and team development based around inventory and material transactions, with the goal of preventing inaccuracies
  • Establish optimal replenishment schedule for each fulfillment location. Monitor consumption at a part number basis to ensure that forecasted assumptions are accurate
  • Develop and provide strategic reporting to the Operations team, as it relates to materials, order fulfillment and inventory accuracy

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years' work experience in finance, supply chain, operations, or inventory control/management
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $132,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
