Support UCLA Health's infrastructure and growth initiatives
by leading the Minor Construction Portfolio within Planning, Design &
Construction. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role supervises capital
projects under $640,000 and oversees a portfolio totaling approximately $10
million. You will direct project planning, financial oversight, and team
performance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in
compliance with university and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will:

* Supervise and direct the minor construction portfolio,
ensuring quality, accountability, and adherence to university and local policy
guidelines.

* Oversee renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and small capital construction
projects from intake through completion.

* Manage project planning processes, workflow development, and execution of
established procedures.

* Provide oversight of budget preparation, forecasting, variance tracking, and
multi year financial planning.

* Analyze resource utilization across labor, space, equipment, and capital
spend to improve operational efficiency.

* Identify trends and develop recommendations to enhance service delivery and
cost effectiveness.

* Lead and evaluate staff performance, including hiring, development,
performance management, and compensation recommendations.

* Ensure accountability and stewardship of operational, financial, and human
resources within the department.

Salary Range:

$105,700 to $234,500 annually

Target Salary Range is $130,000 to $160,000

Qualifications

Required

* Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

* 5 or more years of related experience in facilities management, construction
management, or capital project oversight.

* Knowledge of building design, construction management, contract
administration, and applicable state building codes.

* Strong analytical and financial planning skills with experience supporting
budgets and forecasting.

* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high pressure
environment.

* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the
ability to work across multiple levels of the organization.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.

* Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising project or
facilities staff.

Preferred

* 2 or more years of supervisory experience.

* Experience within an academic medical center, hospital, or complex
institutional environment.

* Experience managing capital construction projects within regulated healthcare
settings
