Description

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Trex, you will play a critical role in attracting, assessing, and onboarding top talent to drive the company's continued success. You will own the full-cycle recruitment process, partnering closely with hiring managers to develop effective hiring strategies and ensure a best-in-class candidate experience. In addition to sourcing and evaluating talent, you will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring that hiring decisions align with Trex's culture and long-term business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and foster our "people first" culture.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and supporting the offer process.
  • Proactively source passive and active candidates using a variety of effective sourcing channels and methods such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, or traditional Boolean search.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Screen resumes and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Develop job postings and ensure roles are properly advertised across relevant platforms.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, clarify job requirements, and support effective selection processes.
  • Maintain relationships with candidates, external recruitment agencies, and professional associations.
  • Monitor external labor market conditions and share insights with talent acquisition leadership.
  • Assist with extending offers and negotiating compensation packages.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Support onboarding coordination or orientation activities when needed.
  • Contribute to recruiting projects in a supporting capacity while gaining exposure to more complex tasks.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field preferred and 2 - 5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a similar HR function.



  • Required Skills and Qualification:

    • Demonstrated proficiency with sourcing tools, recruitment strategies, and candidate outreach methods via ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, or basic Boolean search.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage candidates professionally throughout the hiring process.
    • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with candidates, external agencies, and professional associations.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate ATS records and compliant hiring processes.
    • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities with periodic guidance from leadership.
    • Learning agility and receptiveness to coaching, with the ability to adapt as exposure to more complex recruiting tasks increases.
    • Problemsolving skills with the developing ability to navigate sourcing challenges and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.
    • Basic understanding of employment laws, recruiting compliance, and talent acquisition best practices


  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • Experience working with UKG Recruitment and onboarding modules.
    • SHRM CP, PHR, or SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential.
    • AIRS or LinkedIn Recruiter certification.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
