Position Summary:
Under limited supervision the Faculty Coordinator serves as a key administrative partner to the Department of Pediatrics providing comprehensive oversight and coordination of Clinical Excellence (BCH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointments, reappointments, and promotions for all faculty and trainees. This position ensures compliance with HMS ad institutional policies and procedures while supporting departmental leadership through high-level project and program coordination, committee management and communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as the Department of Pediatrics editor and content coordinator for Harvard Medical School CV's.
  2. Work with faculty and division coordinators on CV preparation and data entry.
  3. Organize the Committee on the Clinical Excellence Pathway. Set agendas, review meeting minutes, track progress and communicate with committee members and division coordinators with updates.
  4. Coordinate the faculty promotion mentor program.
  5. Be a department liaison to the Project Manager for Digital Measures.
  6. Respond to inquiries and information requests from both within hospital and outside the hospital.
  7. Supply data for the Department's Annual Report
  8. Serve as the Search Administrator for the Department of Pediatrics.
  9. Prepare communications for Department Chair, Division Chiefs, promotees and other leaders on the approval and status of promotions.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred.
  2. Four years of related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Experience:
  1. 2 years of health care administrative experience.
  2. Familiarity with HMS PeopleSoft and academic credentialing systems preferred.
  3. Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple complex processes simultaneously.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
