Role Overview

The Director of Revenue Management is a senior commercial leader responsible for defining and executing Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Segment revenue management capabilities. This role owns pricing strategy and execution, contract management, rebate and commercial contract management, and revenue management platforms (CPQ+), while leading strategic transformation initiatives that improve profitable growth, commercial effectiveness, scalability and revenue growth.

This leader partners closely with Sales, Divisional Commercial Operations, Commercial Excellence, IT, and Legal to ensure revenue policies, systems, and governance enable disciplined growth and margin expansion.

Key Responsibilities Pricing Strategy & Execution
  • Own IPS pricing strategies including price architecture, segmentation, discount frameworks, and governance
  • Translate pricing strategy into executable policies, guardrails, and decision tools for the commercial organization
  • Lead pricing analytics, deal support, and value realization to reduce margin leakage and improve win-rate
  • Ensure pricing alignment across products, customers, channels, and regions
Contract Management
  • Establish and oversee standardized commercial contract structures, pricing terms, and approval frameworks
  • Partner with Legal, Sales, and Finance to ensure contracts align with pricing policy, risk standards, and financial objectives
  • Improve contract lifecycle efficiency, visibility, and compliance
  • Reduce complexity and variability in commercial terms where possible
Rebates & Commercial Programs Management
  • Own the design, governance, and execution of rebate, incentive, and commercial program structures
  • Ensure rebate programs are strategically aligned, financially disciplined, and operationally executable
  • Partner with Finance on accrual accuracy, forecasting, and compliance
  • Lead simplification and rationalization of legacy rebate programs
CPQ & Revenue Systems Ownership
  • Provide business ownership for CPQ and related revenue systems including pricing, contracts, and rebates
  • Define the CPQ roadmap aligned to commercial strategy and transformation goals
  • Partner with IT to improve system usability, adoption, and automation
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and integration across CRM, ERP, and financial systems
Strategic Oversight & Transformation
  • Lead revenue management transformation initiatives including process standardization, capability maturity, system modernization, and post-merger integration
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track pricing effectiveness, deal quality, and revenue leakage
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on growth, margin, and commercial strategy
Leadership & Governance
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing revenue management organization
  • Establish clear decision rights, escalation paths, and governance forums
  • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority and act as a neutral enterprise leader
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • 10+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial excellence, sales operations, or finance
  • Proven leadership experience in a complex B2B environment
  • Deep expertise in pricing strategy, deal economics, contract management, rebates, and CPQ systems
  • Strong executive presence and cross-functional influencing skills
  • Track record of leading large-scale commercial or revenue transformations
Preferred
  • Experience in a $3B+ revenue organization
  • Background in industrials, manufacturing, medtech, technology, or complex solutions selling
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region commercial models
  • Exposure to M&A integration or rapid growth environments
