ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Analyst who is curious, analytical, and driven to join our Corporate Accounting team.

If you enjoy digging into details, partnering across teams, and turning data into meaningful insights that support the business, this is an ideal position to continue your professional development.

In this role, you will take ownership of key accounting and financial processes, contribute to highimpact projects, and strengthen your technical expertise. You will also be able to participate in cross-functional process improvement and ad hoc projects that improve processes, drive standardization, and increase efficiency across accounting and reporting activities.

Additionally, you will gain a broad understanding of long-term career opportunities within SC Johnson's accounting and finance organizations. You will have the ability to interact with a strong community of leaders and professionals at varying levels of career progression to learn and develop.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, collaborate effectively with crossfunctional business partners, manage time independently, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Close and General Ledger

  • Play a key role in the monthend close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and performing detailed account analyses.

  • Manage accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations (cash, prepaids, intercompany accounts, accruals, deferrals, and more).

  • Support the financial consolidation process, including mapping and loading results into the consolidation system.

Audit and Compliance

  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for yearend audits.

  • Partner with external auditors to respond to inquiries and support a timely, smooth audit process.

Cash and Intercompany Activities

  • Perform North America cash application activities, including researching and resolving unapplied cash.

  • Collaborate with Treasury and crossfunctional partners to investigate and resolve cash and intercompany discrepancies.

Promotions & Commercial Accounting Support

  • Serve as an accounting partner to the North America Commercial team, supporting the Promotions function, and maintaining the system and managing interfaces with the Coupon Clearinghouse.

  • Set up, maintain, and update promotional events and budgets within the system.

  • Process coupon requests, order barcodes, and review/approve finished coupons in SAP.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or other equivalent experience.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Related experience in public accounting or manufacturing/consumer goods industries

  • Accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills along with written and verbal communications to effectively partner across functions and organizational levels

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement practical solutions

  • SAP/S4Hana, Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SharePoint, Microsoft Office

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is located at the Global Headquarters on Howe Street in Racine

  • Full time, Monday through Friday business hours

  • Remote work available one day a week following a 90-day onboarding period

  • This position is not eligible for relocation
