Through collaboration and guidance, we hope to aid faculty and staff in achieving the full potential of the School of Medicine's "Discover, Teach, Heal" mission. Your Role on the Team As a seasoned experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of UC, campus, and unit academic practices, policies, and procedures, resolves moderate to complex academic HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in imaginative and practical ways. Reviews and interprets complex policies and procedures governing non-faculty academic personnel actions. Analyzes proposed academic actions to determine potential problems or complications. Serves as a consultant to Deans, Senior Associate Deans, Assistant Deans, and faculty on academic personnel issues for the faculty academic poplulation. Works closely with the School of Medicine staff in the processing of recruitments, new hires, merits, and promotions for faculty academics. Serves as a liaison between the Office of Academic Personnel, Human Resources, and Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity, as well as the International Center on issues related to faculty academics. Provide guidance for AP Recruit, and any relevant on line systems for faculty academics. Provide regular and as needed training to the School of Medicine staff on academic personnel policies and procedures related to the faculty academics. What It Takes to be Successful Required:
