Department: Retail Administration Reports to: Regional Manager Status: Exempt/Officer Pay Grade: 10 Salary Range: $71,216 - $102,474 Salary range updated 2/26/2026. Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Location: Cranston - RI Principal Objective This position manages the Retail Banking operations to the extent required to maintain consistent operational policy, process and procedures within the branch network. Evaluates, coaches, and audits operational processes, policies, procedures and systems for Retail Branch Operations while working in conjunction with Retail Operations, Deposit and Loan Services, and Learning & Development. Reviews all policy and procedures to branches and ensures branches are all up to date. Provides training and ongoing skill development for branch colleagues. Provides operational guidance to Retail Administration. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Manage the Branch Operations Help Desk telephone and email box functions in direct support of Retail Branch staff. Provides Retail Administration metrics in conjunction with quality control statistics to identify training opportunities and to identify problems with policy, procedures or processes. * Monitor monthly teller variances and assist with daily cash and transaction reconciliation as needed. * Monitor all industry and regulatory policy and procedure changes, develop and implement when needed. * Work closely with Operations, IT and Learning & Development to ensure efficiency and support for the branch network. Serve as a primary information resource. * Monitor account opening documents to ensure branches are meeting procedural requirements and to ensure efficient systems operations and workflows. * Manage the monthly account charge off records and collections. * Conducts branch audits including full branch compliance audits, safe deposit audits, and key and combination audits. * Assist with customer and employee investigations as needed. * Conduct Teller Supervisor meetings to ensure consistency in implementation and execution of operational policies/procedures. * Work with Learning & Development to prepare resource material for teller or platform upgrades as well as train new colleagues when necessary. * Conduct new colleague onboarding, security training, and skill/aptitude evaluations in conjunction with Branch Managers and Regional Managers. * Consult and collaborate with Human Resources and Regional Managers when necessary to evaluate and assess employee proficiency and assist with performance management. * Supervise, organize, train and evaluate personnel in order to increase their productivity and effectiveness and to deliver efficient, consistent and courteous service to internal customers. * Support and practice Brookline Bancorp's Corporate Road Map and Core Four philosophies. Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required) * 7 to 10 years experience in a similar retail banking operations function * Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience * Thorough knowledge of all core and desktop applications * Strong knowledge of all MS office products * Thorough understanding of Retail budget * Strong written and oral communications skills * Strong understanding of teller and banker functions and the policies and procedures that manage their roles Behavioral Skills * Consistently demonstrate behaviors associated with Brookline Bancorp's Core Four values: adaptability, accountability, leadership, and teamwork.
