Hanger is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to enable 2-4 cross-functional product and platform teams (and mentor other Scrum Masters) in delivering secure, high-impact software, data and business capabilities for Hanger. You'll coach at the team and program level, mature flow and predictability, and align delivery to OKRs-while safeguarding quality, security, and compliance. You'll facilitate agile practice excellence, remove impediments, and help teams deliver measurable outcomes that matter



Your Impact

    Coach at multiple levels: Elevate agile maturity for engineers, Product Owners, and managers; mentor Scrum Masters and foster a community of practice.
  • Facilitate delivery at scale: Lead Scrum events for assigned teams and coordinate cross-team planning, dependencies, and integrated reviews/demos.
  • Plan with outcomes: Partner with Product and Engineering on outcome-based roadmaps, quarterly/PI planning, capacity forecasting, and release strategies.
  • Remove systemic blockers: Surface and resolve cross-team impediments; drive clear options/tradeoffs and timely decisions with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Make work visible: Stand up program dashboards (throughput, cycle time, WIP, flow efficiency, forecast accuracy, incident/defect trends) that inform action.
  • Improve flow & quality: Champion lean practices (WIP limits, work slicing, trunk-based development, CI/CD, test automation, definition of done/ready).
  • Protect security & compliance: Embed practices that safeguard PHI/PII and align to HIPAA and company policies; partner with Security and Compliance.
  • Change leadership: Guide teams through process changes (e.g., Kanban, Scrum-of-Scrums, SLO adoption) and codify playbooks/templates for reuse.
  • Communication & stakeholder mgmt.: Provide concise status and insights to executives; facilitate risk/issue management with data and customer impact.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 6-10+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach with software/data delivery teams in a product or platform environment.
  • Experience in regulated or healthcare environments and comfort working with PHI/PII.
  • Certifications such as PSM II/III or CSP-SM (or equivalent experience); SAFe SSM/SPC, KMP, or ICP-ACC/ATF are a plus.
  • Certifications such as PSM I/II or CSM (or equivalent experience). SAFe SSM/SPC a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience improving team flow (e.g., reducing cycle time, increasing predictable delivery).
  • Nice to have - Experience
    • Experience in healthcare, payer/provider, medical devices, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.


Additional Success Factors

  • Track record improving predictability and flow (e.g., reduced cycle time, stable throughput, better forecast accuracy) and driving measurable product outcomes.
  • Expert facilitation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills across roles and seniority.
  • Proficiency with Jira/Confluence to create meaningful team and program views.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and trunk-based development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize and influence.

  • Familiarity with security and compliance in a regulated environment; comfort handling teams working with PHI/PII.

    • Exposure to data platforms/analytics, ERP/EMR integrations, or supply chain systems.
    • Experience launching or maturing agile communities of practice and delivery playbooks.
    • Familiarity with scaled frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale) and when to keep it lightweight
