Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves supervising and developing software through all phases of the SDLC for key business applications. The Lead Software Engineer will utilize in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations, provide technical direction, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, stable initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain and debug software applications that support business units or support functions
• Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
• Work closely with the line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions
• Create prototypes to prove design concepts and prepare UML diagrams
• Coordinate collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget
• Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with the latest Gen AI tools, with the ability to deliver a significant portion of deliverables using them
• Experience developing Microservices using Spring Boot and Java 21
• Experience with OpenShift Containers or similar tools
• Proficiency with at least one RIA Framework: jQuery, Angular, or ReactJs
• Experience with at least one ORM/Persistence Framework: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, or JPA
• Familiarity with Source Control tools such as Bitbucket or GitHub
• Experience with Maven, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), JUnit, and Mockito
• Proficiency with IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ
• Experience with at least one RDBMS and SQL (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server)
• Experience with Agile/Iterative development and the full SDLC
• Front-end web development skills with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, and SASS

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
