TheManaging Director, Content StrategyandAI Enablement leadsthe firm's enterprise content and thought leadership strategy while helping shape how artificial intelligence transforms marketing and communications.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and serving on the Marketing Leadership Team, this leader will oversee the development of compelling, insight-driven content that strengthens RSM's position as a trusted advisor to the middle market. They will guide the firm's editorial strategy across thought leadership, executive perspectives, multimedia content, and social channels while ensuring alignment with brand, industry priorities, and growthobjectives.

In addition to leading the firm's content strategy, this role will partner across marketing, communications, digitalexperienceand research teams to develop and implement an AI enablement strategy. This includesidentifyingopportunities to responsibly apply generative AI and emerging technologies to enhance marketing effectiveness, accelerate content creation, and unlock new capabilities across the function.

This role combines editorial leadership, strategicstorytellingand innovation, helping position RSM as a leading voice on the issues that matter most to clients while advancing modern, AI-enabled marketing practices.

Essential Duties:

Enterprisecontentandeditorial strategy

  • Lead the firm's enterprise content and thought leadership strategy, ensuring RSM's insights are distinctive, relevant, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Oversee the development ofhigh-impactthought leadership, including research reports, executive perspectives, client insights, and industry commentary.
  • Establish editorial standards, content frameworks, and storytelling approaches that elevate the firm's voice in the marketplace.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality client stories and case studiesthat translate complex engagements into compelling narratives that resonate with clients, prospects, and industry audiences.
  • Guidethe creation of multimedia content, including social content, video, and podcasts, ensuring consistent messaging and narrative across channels.
  • Partner with industry and lines of business marketing leaders and subject matter experts to translate complex topics into clear, compelling insights for clients and prospects.

Contentactivationand collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the existing content team, setting clear priorities and fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the Digital Experience team tooptimizecontent performance across digital channels, including SEO, paid media, and website experiences.
  • Partner with the Research and Insights team to translate proprietary research and economic insights into differentiated thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with campaign, industry, and growth marketing teams to ensure content supports demand generation and client engagement efforts.

AIstrategyandenablement

  • Help define and implement an AI strategy across Marketing and Communications, starting with content and expanding across the broader function.
  • Identifyopportunities toleveragegenerative AI and emerging technologies to accelerate content development, improve marketing productivity, and enhance audience engagement.
  • Establish best practices, governance, and responsible use guidelines for AI in marketing and communications.
  • Partner with digital, data, and technology teams to evaluate and implement AI-enabled tools that support marketing effectiveness and innovation.
  • Serve as a champion for AI-enabled ways of working, helping the marketing organization adopt modern tools andcapabilities.

Leadershipand collaboration

  • Serve as a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, helping shape the strategic direction of the marketing and communications function.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders across marketing, communications, digital experience, research, and industry teams to align content strategy with business priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and subject matter experts, helping translate complex ideas into impactful narratives that resonate with clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related fieldrequired; advanced degree (MBA,Master's in Communications, Journalism, or related discipline) preferred.

TECHNICAL/SOFTSKILLS

  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and emerging technologies and their application in marketing and communications.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE

  • 12-15+ years of experience in content strategy, thought leadership, or editorial leadership within professional services, consulting, financial services, ora relatedindustry.
  • Proven ability to develophigh-impactthought leadership programs that strengthen brand reputation and market authority.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with digital, research, and marketing teams to deliver integrated campaigns and content strategies.

LEADERSHIPSKILLS

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing content teams.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $223,200 - $422,400

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
