Security Officer - Full Time Afternoon Shift

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Coordinator in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, assist visitors and team members with clear communication, and document observations using site tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access for employees, visitors, and vendors by checking identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing traffic flow for deliveries and pickups.
• Complete routine reports, maintain accurate shift logs, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
