Armed Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver

As a Armed Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. You will build trust through clear communication, customer-focused support, and integrity-driven teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Control access at gates, entrances, and/or amenity areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor entry, and maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports, patrol activity logs, and shift handoff information.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
