CyberSecurity Engineering Intern

About the role

** Applications for this Cybersecurity Intern position will be accepted from March 19 through March 27. This is an internship role within the Information Technology department and under the Information Security Office Group.

2026 Auctane Summer Internship Program:

Eligibility:

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate university program. Students graduating in May 2026 are not eligible for the program

Duration:

Paid, 9-week internship

Schedule:

40 hours per week, with the exception of the week of July 4th.

Program Dates:

• June 9, 2026 - First day of onsite orientation
• August 13, 2026 - Final day of the program

Location:

Hybrid role based in Austin, TX

• In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Remote: Monday and Friday

Interviews:

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis through March 31st

What will you be doing?

• Develop preventative and detective controls based on gaps identification
• Help secure cloud and corporate IT infrastructure
• Identify threats and develop remediations against those threats
• Working with the global security team to learn and support security programs and their success

What are we looking for?

• Eagerness to learn and be curious about technology and security problems
• Experience in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science, Cyber Security or similar courseworks
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

What will make you stand out?

• Experience in AWS/GCP, Containers, Python, C#, and similar technologies
• Located in or near the Austin, Texas area
