Job Overview

DMC Power is seeking a detail - oriented Shipping Clerk to support our Olive Branch manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for cordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing shippping documentation, verifying inventory accurancy, and ensuring products are packaged and shipped on time. This role works closely with warehouse , production, and customer service teams to support daily operations while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency standards.

A Day In The Life

  • The majority of time is spent on the ERP system (JD Edwards).
  • Supervise team members to meet daily shipping requirements.
  • Creates BOLs and shipping labels.
  • Works from computer systems procedures, purchase orders, written and/or verbal instructions, established shipping procedures, methods and practices.
  • Counts, weighs, and checks outgoing shipments, reports shortages, damage or obvious defects to supervisor.
  • Packages, straps, weighs and labels shipments.
  • Operates internal computer system to determine status and tracking of products, when necessary. Maintains records as instructed.
  • Maintains established quality and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions, established company and departmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to the proper supervision. Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Maintains daily production andother records as required.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Closely follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
  • Oversees shipping and receiving staff as well as all outgoing shipments.
  • Daily communication with the warehouse team to ensure inventory consistency.
  • Ensure orders are completed and processed efficiently.
  • Process shipping labels and carton labels.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    * Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred

    * Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse systems

    * Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and labels accurately

    * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    * Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely

    * Forklift experience or willingness to become certified preferred

    * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

    * Strong teamwork and communication skills

    * Commitment to safety, attendance, and reliability
