Fixture Builder

• Come join our team! We currently have an exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Cockeysville, MD for a Fixture Builder to design and construct fixtures and crates to support, house, and relocate heavy machined assemblies.

• The Fixture Builder is responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining fixtures and tooling used to support the assembly of kits and products.
• This role works closely with Material Handling and Assembly teams to ensure fixtures are accurate, safe, ergonomic, and support efficient, high-quality assembly operations.

• Design, build, assemble, and install fixtures/crates used in kit and product assembly.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Modify existing fixtures to support process improvements or design changes.
• Troubleshoot fixture issues and make repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Ensure fixtures meet safety, quality, and ergonomic standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Assembly teams during new product introductions.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting fixture enhancements.
• Maintain organized records of fixture builds, changes, and repairs.
• Follow standard work, safety procedures, and 5S practices.

• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on assembly experience.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge or familiarity with CAD or CAD-like programs.
