Cloud Systems Administrator

Designs, develops, and implements scalable cloud-based solutions. Defines cloud architecture and produces detailed plans and specifications to support solution development. Collaborates with product managers and engineering teams to gather requirements and develop specifications for new cloud products, services, and applications. Leads the deployment and optimization of cloud management platforms, continuously evaluating performance and implementing improvements.

Expands and enhances the organization's cloud service portfolio, including value-added offerings. Develops solution recommendations, including Basis of Estimate (BOE) for cloud services. Conducts cost-benefit analyses comparing cloud, virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and on-premises solutions, identifying areas of the IT infrastructure with the highest return on investment for cloud adoption.

Performs operations and maintenance for secure, managed cloud platforms. Implements and maintains automation to improve system operations, monitoring, alerting, and auto-remediation. Designs, develops, and deploys infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using CI/CD pipelines.

Position Requirements:

An active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Twelve (12) years of experience as a Systems Administrator with solid understanding and working knowledge of core Linux operating system components is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is required. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
• Without a degree we can accept four additional years of experience.
• A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience, bringing down the minimal requirement to ten total years.
• One of the following Cloud Certifications are required:
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base
