POSITION SUMMARYThe Facilities Technician is responsible for planning, coordinating and problem solving facilities functions including maintenance, HVAC, grounds, mechanical, electrical and housekeeping. This role will direct and coordinate internal, contracted, vendor or maintenance personnel to maintain building operations. The Facilities Technician will work independently and under supervision as needed.

This position will be located onsite in Appleton, WI. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate facilities functions including maintenance, HVAC, grounds, mechanical, electrical and housekeeping
  • Serve as the contact for lawn, grounds, and snow removal services
  • Maintain oversight on HVAC systems and provides minor repairs and/or adjustments as needed
  • Perform general minor repairs/maintenance as needed
  • Act as a building liaison for major installation/repairs that are subcontracted to outside contractors
  • Provide instruction and training to other associates working for the facilities/buildings
  • Available on call after hours
  • May operate a company vehicle
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years related experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with some knowledge of electrical, carpentry etc.
  • Good decision maker who is well organized, can prioritize, and plan ahead
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to operate a tow motor
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
  • Basic understanding of personal computers
  • Ability to be on call after hours
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory MVR required
  • Building Operators Certification (BOC) a plus
