Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the Office of Transfer and Non-Traditional Students. The Program Coordinator II (
PCII) reports to the Director of Administration and is responsible for supporting daily operations of the Undergraduate Education (UE) units and programs within the purview of the Senior Director, including: the Office of Transfer and Non-Traditional Students; the Air Force, Army, and Navy ROTCs; RU1ST; and UE Special Projects.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Supports operational functions on behalf of the Director and Senior Director, supporting day-to-day departmental functions, including appointment/meeting scheduling, unit correspondence (e.g., calendars, phones, e-mail, websites & resource directories), OIT user support needs, event/space requests, unit supply and equipment inventories, unit-sponsored programs, and marketing and events aligned with Rutgers' visual identity and IPO guidelines and promotion.
- Participates in university-sponsored trainings (e.g., UHR, IPO, Ethics & Compliance, etc.) and cross-training will unit personnel, to stay informed of institutional policies, and protocols for campus partner operational requests (e.g., Academic Scheduling, Student Centers, etc.).
- Works with the Director and Administrative Coordinator to troubleshoot and coordinate proper follow-up for administrative and operational needs.
- Participates in unit-sponsored evening and weekend programming, as needed.
- Remains abreast of all departmental, unit, and institutional policies.
- Maintains confidentiality with regards to student academic issues and records, finalizes correspondence to students and faculty, and maintains electronic files.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an administrative function that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, human resources, or payroll.
- 5 years or more of demonstrated experience in successfully developing, implementing, and managing administrative and fiscal processes.
- Experience working with student service programs, advising, and/or admissions outreach;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on cross-campus initiatives with varied team members.
- Demonstrated experience working with military-affiliated units and student information systems.
- General knowledge of military protocols.
