General Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys to sample, evaluate, and analyze terrestrial ecosystems including, but not limited to, riverine, wetland, and upland habitats. Identify, evaluate, and recommend risk, remediation, and liability management strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Prepare applicable permit applications, risk assessments, and technical documents including proposals, reports, and regulatory agency correspondence and filings. Coordinate and develop environmental protection plans, including analysis of various project alternatives. Projects may include ecological and natural resource field surveys, construction monitoring and oversight, stormwater management inspection, threatened/endangered species studies, and site planning and permitting. Requirements: Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related science field and approximately 5 years' related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years' related experience. Master's degree or PhD preferred. Certification in field of expertise. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history. Preferred Certification: Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS).
