As a Armed Security Officer - Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to site needs with professionalism and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or assigned posts, verifying credentials, observing for unusual activity, and reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior.
• Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site requirements, while supporting security-related operations with professionalism and sound judgment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
