Responsibilities

The Liquid Asphalt Terminal Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a liquid asphalt storage and distribution terminal. This role involves daily terminal operations, product handling, equipment monitoring, loading and unloading railcars, and ensuring all environmental, safety, and quality standards are met. The technician plays a key role in maintaining continuous operations and supporting customer service excellence.

    Operate, monitor, and maintain pumps, valves, heaters, tanks, meters, and related terminal equipment.
  • Unload asphalt railcars following established procedures and safety standards.
  • Perform routine sampling and testing of asphalt products to ensure quality specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, receipts, and operational data.
  • Adjust temperature controls and heating systems to keep materials within required specifications.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and around hot materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights as required.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
