Project Accounting Specialist

We're partnering with a growing, fast-paced construction company that's looking for a Project Accounting Specialist ready to make an impact. Billing & Accounts Receivable

• Create and manage invoices for material sales and project work
• Be the go-to person for customer billing questions (pricing, tax-exempt status, etc.)
• Track incoming payments (ACH, wire, credit card, checks-you'll see it all)
• Monitor aging reports and support collections efforts

Project & Job Cost Support

• Help ensure labor and project costs are tracked accurately
• Review timesheets and allocate costs to the correct jobs/phases
• Investigate discrepancies and partner with project managers to resolve issues
• Code invoices and credit card transactions to the right projects
• Support subcontractor payments and compliance documentation

Compliance & Documentation

• Manage tax-exempt certificates and ensure everything stays up to date
• Track lien waivers and help keep projects compliant
• Assist with business licenses, tax documents, and DOT prequalification paperwork
• Partner with payroll on certified payroll requirements

• 2+ years of experience in billing, AR, or accounting support
• Construction experience is a plus (but not required-they'll teach you!)
• Strong Excel skills (you're comfortable working with data)
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
• Clear communicator who isn't afraid to ask questions or follow up
• Someone proactive who takes initiative and wants to grow
