Here's what we're looking for.

• Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist, tool maker, or mold maker.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in using manual equipment for machining and mold work. Knowledge ofEDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)is considered a significant plus.
• Computer Literacy:Basic skills in Microsoft Office, particularlyExcel, for data input.
• Education:High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Safety:Demonstrated ability to follow and advocate for all workplace safety protocols.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Mold Maintenance:Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble complex molds, fixtures, and machine tools.
• Repairs:Diagnose and perform necessary repairs on tooling to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Performance Metrics:Work toward a specific goal of reducing mold downtime for maintenance by 3% compared to previous months.
• Documentation:Record maintenance activities and data using computer systems, typically Microsoft Excel.
• Collaboration:Perform all tooling functions as directed by the Tooling Manager and participate in quality training.
• Continuous Improvement:Submit ideas for quality improvement and maintain an organized, clean workspace (5S principles).
