CNC Vertical Machinist Requirements: Built for Precision

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-6 years of machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
• Basic CNC setup and operation knowledge; programming experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to meet U.S. export control requirements

Your Everyday Hustle

• Set up and operate 3-4 axis vertical milling machines to produce parts per blueprints and work orders
• Review daily production schedules (dispatch lists) and prioritize jobs accordingly
• Adjust tooling and machine settings based on CNC programs to meet specifications
• Load parts and perform in-process quality checks to ensure conformance
• Inspect finished parts using dimensional data sheets and measuring tools
• Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and upkeep
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining production and quality standards
