Our Opportunity The Contact Center Representative plays a key role in delivering outstanding member service within a credit union contact center environment. This role focuses on making banking easy by providing prompt, accurate, and professional support to members and internal team members. Representatives address questions and resolve concerns across multiple channels, including phone, digital platforms, email, mobile banking, and IVR systems. The Contact Center Representative also works to deepen member relationships by identifying appropriate products and services and connecting members with additional credit union resources when needed. What You'll Do * Answer inbound calls within established service-level targets to support contact center performance metrics. * Respond to member questions, concerns, and inquiries through inbound and outbound calls, email, and digital platforms while consistently delivering exceptional member service. * Live the organization's vision, mission, goals, and service promises in every interaction. * Identify opportunities to strengthen member relationships by recommending products and services aligned with members' short-term and long-term financial needs. * Educate members on the features and benefits of available products and services. * Refer members to other credit union representatives when appropriate. * Process transactions and update account information accurately and efficiently within the core system. * Document member interactions with close attention to detail. * Research issues and collaborate with internal departments to resolve concerns effectively. * Perform department support duties, including scanning, faxing, and completing daily reports. * Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements. What You'll Bring * Up to six months of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory or customer-facing roles. * High school diploma or GED required. * Professional courtesy and tact, with a strong commitment to member service. * Proven ability to manage difficult or sensitive member interactions effectively. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Basic mathematical skills and comfort using calculators. * Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems simultaneously. * Ability to meet bonding requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $41600.00/yr.
