Position Summary
|
The HR Partner supports assigned business units by promoting, communicating and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives, and providing day to day operational support. The HR Partner builds and maintains influential relationships by being a strategic partner with all levels of management and serving as an advocate for employees. They are responsible for coordinating and coaching activities related to employee relations, compliance, training, recruiting and compensation and benefits.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities

Employee Relations
|
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
- Conducts stay interviews, exit interviews and pulse surveys, and provides feedback and recommendations to HR and sector leadership.
- Participates in resolving employee relations issues.
- Collaborates with leadership in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Compliance
|
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of applicable employment laws. Provides related direction and consults with legal to discuss and resolve issues as needed.
- Assists with the completion of government-mandated compliance reporting and activities.
- Ensures compliance with legal and corporate guidelines.

Training/Facilitation
|
- Identifies needs, then partners with Talent Management to develop and conduct training for sector management and employees.
- Schedules and monitors various training programs.
- Recommends and researches outside training as needed.
- Facilitates sessions with clients as needed.

Recruiting
|
- Cultivates relationships within individual sectors to support pipeline of potential candidates.
- Assists with workforce planning and organizational design.
- Assists and coaches clients with internal promotions, relocation packages and position reassignments.

Compensation & Benefits
|
- Assists sector leadership, in collaboration with the Compensation & Benefits Partner, in reviewing and recommending base compensation changes and annual bonuses during review cycles, as well as advising on internal equity and retention efforts.
- Receives and addresses employee questions regarding compensation and benefits plans.
- Consults and coordinates with Compensation & Benefits Partner as needed.

Required Education, Experience, Licenses & Technical Competencies
|
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field preferred. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an HRBP or generalist role required.
- HR certification preferred (SHRM/HRCI).
- Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in the job description.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to build a business case and demonstrate influencing skills in presenting the business case to key stakeholders.
- Ability to make decisions and solve abstract problems using experience and skill set while working under pressure.
- General knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws, wage and hour laws and employment practices, policies and procedures.
- Conflict management and resolution skills.
- Takes a consulting approach with management and employees in identifying potential issues, solutions, and recommendations.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills for training and instruction of others within the organization.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the overall business, as well as company policies and procedures.

- Demonstrated MS Office skills (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint) and knowledge of HR systems.
