We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Contact Center Representative - Lending position at our Corporate Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.

Position Purpose:

Interact with members and process member requests and transactions. Process loan requests for members and work with centralized underwriting for a decision. Research and resolve member problems. Offer Credit Union products or services whenever appropriate.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Interact with members via phone, e-mail and other media as appropriate.
  • Answer member questions concerning their accounts and Credit Union services.
  • Open new accounts, when appropriate.
  • Perform file maintenance on members' accounts as necessary.
  • Sell products and services where appropriate.
  • Accept and process loan applications.
  • Submit loan requests to Centralized Underwriting for decisioning.
  • Gather information related to credit and debit card disputes.
  • Process specialty lending, such as home equities and credit cards.
  • Promote the sale of Credit Union sponsored insurance products.
  • Provide members with information necessary to make informed decisions regarding their financial transactions.
  • Process termination statements and lien releases.
  • Process and verify EFT authorizations and insurance documents.
  • Complete various other tasks such as faxing of documents, writing letters and delivery of paperwork to various departments within the Credit Union.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; Associates's Degree preferred
  • 2 years financial institution experience, preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong typing abilities.
  • Good verbal public relations skills.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Able to operate calculator, word processor, and related computer applications.
  • Well organized.
  • Strong commitment to cross selling and over coming objections when cross selling applicable products and services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member data.
