Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Privacy Operations Specialist to support a dynamic, fast paced privacy program. If you're a strategic, detail-oriented professional who thrives in ambiguous environments, communicates effectively across all levels of an organization, and brings a continuous improvement mindset to your work - we'd love to hear from you. As a Privacy Operations Specialist, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for the Marketing Strategy team, managing complex data use requests that require cross-functional collaboration. You'll drive a thorough review process in partnership with legal and engineering teams, while actively contributing to the future of privacy. We're looking for someone who is passionate about privacy, can navigate challenging problems both independently and collaboratively, and has a track record of building and implementing automated processes that drive scale and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end execution of the privacy review process, ensuring requests are accurately captured, triaged, and processed in a timely manner
- Monitor incoming requests to confirm prioritization, completeness, and compliance with intake requirements, following up with submitters to resolve any gaps
- Align incoming requests against business priorities and communicate status, timelines and transparently to stakeholders
- Partner with cross-functional teams - including legal, engineering, product, and operations - to drive alignment and accountability throughout the review lifecycle
- Play a critical support role in a high-visibility, emergency aversion process tied to domestic and international privacy-related incidents, including potential on-call or 24/7 monitoring responsibilities
- Coordinate with global leaders and cross-regional teams during active emergency scenarios, demonstrating composure and sound judgment under pressure
- Continuously evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve operational processes in collaboration with technical teams
- Support the development of privacy communications and branding initiatives, bringing a design sensibility to materials that are clear, compelling, and on-brand
- Draft and refine written communications including team updates, stakeholder documentation, training materials, and program announcements
What You'll Bring
- A genuine passion for privacy and a curiosity for how it intersects with technology, marketing, and user experience
- A self-starter mentality - you take initiative, work independently, and know when to bring others in
- The ability to context-switch with ease, managing multiple projects and priorities without losing sight of the details
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to build trust quickly with diverse teams across functions, levels, and geographies
- Composure and sound judgment in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations, including emergency scenarios
- An innovative mindset that challenges the status quo and looks for smarter, more efficient ways of working
- A design eye and communication instinct that helps translate complex privacy concepts into clear, compelling narratives
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to grow, adapt, and learn quickly in a fast evolving environment
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally in privacy, marketing, or data governance
- Strong understanding of privacy principles, frameworks, and review processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder workflows in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for audiences at all levels including senior leadership
- Experience supporting incident response or emergency management processes, with comfort managing on-call responsibilities
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and automation opportunities
- Proficiency with workflow management tools and collaboration platforms
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing branded content or internal education programs
- Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, DMA or similar frameworks
- Experience in a global organization with cross-regional teams
- CIPP or other privacy certification
