SUMMARY
-
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all plumbing, piping and perform HVAC duties, as assigned by the Skilled Trades Manager and Foreman, both inside and outside of County buildings, in all types of weather conditions. Required to be on call 24/7, including snow removal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
- Measure, cut, bends and threads all sizes of black and galvanized rigid pipe.
- Measures, cuts and bends all sizes of copper tubing for use on heating, hot water, cold water, air and gas systems, steam lines and risers.
- Repair, maintain and install all piping systems and plumbing fixtures, including all drain and sanitary lines.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High School Diploma/GED/trade school.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience in plumbing trade.
- Ability to read architectural /engineering drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals.
- Ability to maintain clerical records and logs, as provided.
- Ability to interact with engineer, technicians and to work from verbal instructions or schematic drawings.
- Ability to read, interpret and implement latest codes.
- Basis knowledge of all piping systems.
- Mechanical skills, knowledge of chemical water treatment and pneumatic controls.
- Computer literate.
- Well organized and detail-oriented.
- Good inter- personal, oral and written communication skills.
- Current/valid PA Driver's License.
