Join Our Team as a Production Specialist - 3rd Shift

Liberty, MO | 3rd Shift | Full-Time

The HBC Production Specialist is a key member of our Operations team, responsible for the endtoend production of personalized greeting cards and related products. This role blends machine operation with order fulfillment, ensuring every product meets our quality standards and reaches customers on time. You'll flex between computer related and equipment operation, manual tasks, support continuous improvement, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and collaborative production environment.

What You'll Do:



  • Set up, operate, and maintain printing, inserting, mailing, and finishing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with repairs and routine maintenance (including occasional handling of hazardous ink waste).
  • Pick, print, assemble, pack, and ship personalized greeting card orders.
  • Read and interpret job tickets, project instructions, and proofs.
  • Operate smaller automated equipment such as laser printers, banders, folders, and envelope sealers.
  • Inspect products for quality throughout production and fulfillment.
  • Record production data, track rework, and minimize waste.
  • Support teammates, flex between machine operation and manual fulfillment, and participate in process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.


When You'll Work:



  • This is a 3rd Shift position
  • Standard shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Throughout the year, and especially during peak season, shifts will extend to:

    • 10-hour shift: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
    • 12-hour shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM


  • Overtime and weekends are required

Who We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:



  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated working computer knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed, including 12-hour shifts.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with automated printing/mailing equipment, Detailed Project Instructions (DPI), Card Fulfillment System, and FedEx Manager.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
  • Works constructively as part of a diverse team.
