GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Project Analyst (Data and Research) in our Urban Analytics & Economics practice to work onsite at our Orlando, Florida oce. Our Urban Analytics & Economics team collaborates closely with our Urban Design & Planning practice as well as our Parks & Public Spaces practice to assess socio-economic, demographic, fiscal, and economic conditions and trends, translating this information into strategic recommendations for public, private, and institutional clients. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Job Duties:



  • Data gathering, research, and development of reports with written, graphic, and visually dynamic descriptions and representations of data findings.
  • Conducting primary demographic, economic, fiscal, and real estate/site inventory research, including interviews & site visits
  • Organizing data, identifying and analyzing trends, and assistance in constructing financial and/or statistical models by employing existing GAI methodologies
  • Working within project teams to prepare reports and presentations that convey key findings.


Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor's degree with a mix of quantitative and qualitative coursework in disciplines such as Economics, Data Science, Finance, Urban Studies, Real Estate, Public Policy, Political Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong skills with Excel and Microsoft Office, functional understanding of ArcGIS and Adobe Creative Cloud products (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and interest in learning additional analytical methods and datasets (such as Power BI and Power Query).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within and as part of a team.
  • The successful candidate will have a passion for research, analysis, and problem solving with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in public finance, budgeting, and/or economic development is desirable.
