Supply Chain Systems Specialist

HealthPartners is hiring for a full-time Supply Chain Systems Specialist role.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Provide day-to-day Supply Chain systems support. This position is responsible for the overall daily operations of the systems through the maintenance of system tables, reporting, problem resolution and communication of system problems, support of end-users and participation in system testing of functions related to system modification. This position also provides ongoing training to staff for system-related processes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Independently investigates Supply Chain processing problems.

  2. Evaluates system modifications required to implement new programs or procedures. Thoroughly tests program changes in the system(s).

  3. Identifies and documents system problems and coordinates their resolution with Information Services, requisitioners and Supply Chain staff.

  4. Develops recommendations and proposals concerning system modifications.

  5. Coordinates resolution of problems or implementation of revisions with the appropriate personnel.

  6. Uses comprehensive test plans for routine changes as well as major modifications.

  7. Communicates system problems and enhancements to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.

  8. Trains staff on new/enhanced software.

  9. Serves as technical resource on questions pertaining to system interaction with other HealthPartners systems.

  10. Provides excellent customer service and end-user support to supply chain/materials management requisitioners and other staff as needed.

  11. Performs routine maintenance on Lawson system tables.

  12. Completes special projects as requested by management.

  13. Performs other duties as assigned to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, Business, or related field OR five years related experience in Supply Chain/Materials Management in a medium to large organization.

  • Two years systems/business analysis experience in Supply/Chain Materials Management in a medium to large organization.

  • Two years computer experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access or comparable applications.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Concise and accurate written communication skills.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people.

  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to make logical decisions and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and to communicate action plans via written documentation.

  • Working knowledge of computer programming and data processing capabilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years procurement processing experience.

  • Oracle software experience.

  • Experience in a health care environment.
