About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Network and Computer Systems Administration to join us Duties and Responsibilities:
The Subject Matter Expert in Network and Computer Systems Administration is the senior technical authority on enterprise infrastructure operations and administration within the TALON program, providing expert-level guidance on the most complex network and systems engineering challenges encountered across TSA's distributed IT environment.
- This individual advises engineering teams, the O&M contractor, and TSA leadership on infrastructure architecture, configuration management best practices, and lifecycle strategies for servers, networking equipment, workstations, and cloud-hosted systems.
- The SME is a key resource in resolving escalated technical issues and ensuring operational continuity across TSA's 24x7x365 environment.
- In this role, the SME in Network and Computer Systems Administration provides technical oversight and quality review of infrastructure designs, transition packages, and operational runbooks produced by senior and journeyman-level administrators.
- The individual contributes to strategic decisions regarding infrastructure modernization, including migration to cloud-native services, SD-WAN deployments, and Windows 11 enterprise rollouts.
- The SME also supports the development of TSA's enterprise standards for Active Directory, endpoint management, virtualization, and system hardening, ensuring alignment with DHS cybersecurity requirements and Zero Trust architecture principles.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- A minimum of 9 years of advanced network and systems administration experience in large federal or enterprise environments is required, with expert-level proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, and endpoint management platforms.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a technical authority in complex, multi-vendor federal IT environments is expected.
- All personnel must be U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents with the ability to obtain TSA fitness determination, PIV card access, and Computer Access Agreement compliance, and must be available to support after-hours infrastructure maintenance as directed by the TSA Contracting Officer.
