THE POSITION

Are you eager to start a new chapter in your career with a team that keeps critical decisions moving forward? The Department of Labor & Industry is looking for a Clerical Assistant 3 to join the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (UCBR), Administration Office. This position plays a key role in supporting the UCBR by coordinating second-level appeal draft decisions for board review and voting, while also serving as a central point of contact for correspondence and public inquiries. Put your organizational and communication skills to the test with us!

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the UCBR by answering calls on the main telephone line, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiries. You will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing correspondence and handling requests related to board-level appeals, reconsideration requests, and appeals returned from the Commonwealth Court. Work also involves coordinating the routing of draft decisions from UCBR legal staff to board members for review and voting, as well as processing returned draft decisions for the next stage action. This may include returning drafts to legal staff for revision, forwarding decisions to the Decision Processing Unit for issuance, or scheduling matters for discussion at board meetings.
