This position reports to the Executive Director of Analysis, Policy & Technology. The Graduate Program Analyst possesses an in-depth understanding of policies and issues relating to graduate education and postdoctoral scholars, and applies this knowledge to resolve problems that are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Supports Graduate Studies leadership as primary liaison to Academic Senate and Graduate Council for shared governance of graduate education. Supports Graduate Studies leadership by managing processes to appoint graduate group chairs and graduate faculty advisors. Conducts research and analysis on a wide variety of topics in support of new initiatives, and communicates findings in a variety of formats including reports, web-hosted data, presentations, and proposals. Department Overview Graduate Studies (GS) advocates on behalf of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, supports the faculty and staff engaged in delivering graduate education, and administers academic and administrative policies affecting graduate students and postdoctoral scholars that foster a culturally and intellectually diverse environment characterized by high academic standards.
