Overview

The Product Management Specialist supports the delivery and continuous improvement of technology products by assisting with discovery, backlog preparation, documentation, and performance tracking. This role partners closely with Product Management Leads and crossfunctional delivery teams to learn product management fundamentals while contributing to highquality execution and stakeholder communication.

This position is designed as a developmental role that builds core product management skills, business acumen, and enterprise delivery experience.

Scope & Decision Rights

    Supports one or more products or platforms under the direction of a Product Manager I or Product Manager II
  • Contributes to backlog refinement, documentation, and analysis but does not own final prioritization or roadmap decisions.
  • Executes defined product management processes and standards; escalates risks, tradeoffs, and decisions to the product owner.
  • Operates as an individual contributor with no direct reports.


Responsibilities

Product Support & Execution

  • Assist in translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Support backlog refinement activities, sprint planning preparation, and release readiness.
  • Help maintain product artifacts including roadmaps, feature documentation, and release notes.

Discovery & Analysis

  • Participate in customer discovery, requirements gathering, and usability testing sessions.
  • Conduct basic analysis on product usage, adoption, and feedback to inform prioritization discussions.
  • Support value tracking, KPI reporting, and benefits realization analysis.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
  • Prepare status updates, meeting materials, and product communications for internal stakeholders.
  • Support change management, training, and adoption efforts in partnership with product and enablement teams.

Governance & Quality

  • Ensure product documentation and backlog items align with enterprise standards, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with risk tracking, dependency logging, and issue escalation.
  • Learn and apply Agile and product management best practices consistently.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a product, business analyst, technology, or project support role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize information clearly.
  • Basic familiarity with Agile delivery concepts, product lifecycles, or software development environments.
  • Field-based experience in a professional construction environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., backlog management, road mapping, or analytics tools).
  • Analytical mindset with comfort working with data, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn enterprise product management, value realization, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, crossfunctional environment with strong attention to detail.

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
