Responsible for performing all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs. Responsible for identifying potential and existing drug-related problems and taking appropriate actions to prevent or resolve them. Responsible for meeting all objectives for a resident in pharmacy practice as outlined by ASHP. Maintain/enhance pharmacotherapeutic skills through the reading of primary literature, national guidelines and/or medical references. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

This one-year residency program is designed to develop well-rounded pharmacy practitioners through direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional growth. Position Overview The Pharmacy Resident is responsible for supporting the effective daily operations of departmental services and programs. This role involves identifying and addressing potential or existing drug-related problems and taking appropriate action to prevent or resolve them. The resident will meet all pharmacy practice residency objectives as outlined by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) while continuously developing pharmacotherapeutic knowledge and clinical skills.
