Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Test and Evaluation Engineer to support Fixed Wing PO. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Provide support to the Fixed Wing Project Office in the management and execution of test programs for all FW platforms, including critical support in the areas of test and evaluation planning, test plan development, test coordination, and scheduling. Review contractual documents as it pertains to the implementation of test and evaluation requirements and provide input/feedback to the customer. Provide onsite oversight of test events and keep Program Managers informed of test status during off-site test events. Coordinate government-led test events with other Government test agencies and contractors. Review and provide input to test plans and test requirements for performance, handling qualities, communications, navigation, AIMS, aircraft survivability equipment, tactical networks, cyber security, and sensor performance test to meet airworthiness and operational test qualification requirements. Provide input to the development of Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) for systems, subsystems, components, and/or associated systems. Assist in the development of test and evaluation technical requirements and specifications for the development or modification of systems. Assist in budget development for test and evaluation projects. Plan, participate, and support test and evaluation Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings as well as other related IPT meetings within FWPO. Prepare reports/briefings and coordinate with management, peers, and subordinates to understand future requirements and challenges in the development of highly complex ground and flight test programs. Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
BS in Engineering or relatable technical discipline. 10+ years in test and evaluation events. Working knowledge of DOD 5000 and AR 73-1 Test and Evaluation Policy. Working knowledge of Government policy directives, standards, specifications, handbooks, pamphlets, as well as DoD adopted industry standards, relating to test and evaluation. Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time. US travel only.
