Eligibility Criteria:
Age requirement:
- Must be at least 18 years by the start of the internship
Education Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of a college, university, or vocational /trade school
- Preferred fields of study: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Safety, Environmental Science, Business, or related discipline.
Academic Standing:
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent. No exceptions.
Availability:
- Must commit to a minimum of 12 to 13 weeks, full-time or part-time depending on department needs.
- Willingness to work early in the mornings or extended hours as needed, particularly for field positions.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong interest in Construction, Engineering, Project Management
- Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to safety protocols
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, experienced with AutoCAD, HCSS, or similar software is a plus.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle to job sites or office (where applicable)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must pass a pre-employment driving record search
- Must comply with all FODAY safety policies and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) on site.

Wages and Compensation:
- Interns will be paid $19.00 per hour for intern entering their sophomore year of college
- Interns will be paid $20.00 per hour for intern entering their junior year of college
- Interns will be paid $21.00 per hour for intern entering their senior year of college
- Interns may also be eligible for overtime pay depending on hours worked and department needs
- Safety gear and required PPE will be provided by FODAY
- Some positions may include mileage reimbursement or travel stipends for field work.

- Final selections are based on program fit, availability, and interest area.
