Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician IV to serve as the Lab & Field Operations Site Lead, responsible for coordinating operational support across lab and shipboard environments. Also supports installations, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of U.S. Navy IC Data Networks, including the AN/USQ-82(V) family (DMS, FODMS, GEDMS).


Responsibilities


  • Lead lab installations and system integration.
  • Develop and execute test plans and V&V procedures.
  • Troubleshoot network systems and maintain lab environments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair shipboard network systems.
  • Install upgrades and verify system performance.
  • Support SCD installations and fleet operations.
  • Oversee Engineering Technicians III and V.
  • Assist in documentation and system evaluations.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are available for operations.


Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Required:


  • High School/Vocational School Diploma or GED Certificate along with a Technical School Diploma or four (6) years Navy experience with C school training in an EM, ET, IC or IT rate specialty.
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for continued employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.


Experience

Required:


  • Five (5) years work related experience in in the operation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic systems and/or shipboard electronic systems or networks. This individual should have experience checking and analyzing drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design, determining test requirements, equipment modification, and test procedures and assisting with planning tests to evaluate equipment performance. Performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.
  • Ability to analyze technical systems and drawings.



Preferred:


  • Experience with AN/USQ-82(V) systems (Data Multiplex System training).
  • Shipboard troubleshooting skills.
  • Lab and test environment experience.
  • V&V and documentation experience.
