Stellar Solutions is seeking a Space Operations Integrator to support the development, modernization, deployment, and expansion of mission-critical space command and control capabilities. This role serves as a subject matter expert supporting a Government customer with operational space command and control best practices, software resiliency and availability, secure supply chain considerations, and program execution. The position operates in a highly collaborative environment with program leadership, contracting, engineering, and stakeholder teams to help deliver effective, scalable capability to the mission.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

This role is central to aligning ongoing design, implementation, and test of a space and ground prototyping effort. The test and integration systems engineer will focus on ensuring readiness for operational mission needs. You will work across multiple customer and contractor teams, including the Space Systems Command acquisition office and Space Force operational organizations such as Space Delta 4 and USSF Combat Forces Command, and multiple vendor and stakeholder teams to support planning, system testing, Launch and Early Orbit test (LEOT) and transition to operations of space and ground capabilities. Success in this position requires strong operational judgment, familiarity with acquisition processes and documentation, and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and programmatic audiences.

Responsibilities Include:

    Advise senior customer leadership on test and Integration readiness for launch and spacecraft certification

  • Coordinate system installation and integration facilities with Government personnel. Ensure activities follow Government processes and site integrationo standards.
  • Conduct and participate in formal test events at customer sites with government stakeholders to validate system capabilities.
  • Work closely with other team members, Collaborate with engineers and technical leadership.
  • Validate and lead execution of Integration and Test (I&T) plans, procedures, and events.
  • Ensure system documentation, including configuration baselines, rack diagrams, and test records delivered by vendors is complete and meets customer requirements.
  • Ability to lead Integration and Test of Hardware and Software configuration items
  • Provide technical leadership during program milestones and system-level reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) and test and readiness assessments and events.
  • Familiarity with the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission and/or satellite ground systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple test and demonstration events.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive team approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Prepare decision briefings and integration and test plans; coordinate cross-functional activities

  • Communicate status and issues clearly; work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Support travel-based test activities within the U.S. to meet client needs

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years in SE/Integration and Test on DoD satellite or ground systems

  • 5+ years Experience with a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements
  • 10+ years of experience in missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations.

  • Strong written/oral communication; self-starter with mission focus

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Math, Physics, or CS

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with test process development, test case design, test procedure development, test execution, system evaluation, and test reporting.Knowledge base of I&T Proven ability to lead vendors resolving system-level issues, provide design feedback, and implement corrective actions across space systems and satellite ground
  • Satellite ground systems or operations experience, especially with SBIRS, DSP, or other OPIR systems
  • Experience with Agile development and digital engineering / MBSE approaches.
  • Agile software program experience; Confluence/Jira; software factory/DevSecOps familiarity

  • Top Secret clearance; Master's degree

  • Agile certifications (CSM, CPO, PMI-ACP, ICP); INCOSE (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP)

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with Top Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain SCI clearances
  • Position is located in Boulder, CO - Approximately 25% of the work can be performed remotely(hybrid schedule). Other Travel expected to be 10% or less.

Compensation:

The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $130,000 - $155,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).



Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
