General Summary

The Client Partner is a career sales professional responsible for supporting new client acquisition efforts across a range of industries, verticals, and company sizes. This role focuses on building foundational prospecting and pipeline development skills while introducing prospective clients to the value of CCL's Open Enrollment programs.

Working in close collaboration with Strategic Business Partners, Business Partners, and cross-functional teams including Marketing and Operations, this role plays a key part in generating new opportunities, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales process through early-stage engagement and pipeline development.

This position is designed for individuals with strong sales acumen, with an emphasis on outbound prospecting, CRM discipline, and effectively positioning CCL's offerings in the market.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Prospecting & Pipeline Development



  • Executes outbound prospecting activities including calling, emailing, and social selling to generate new client opportunities.
  • Supports pipeline development by identifying, researching, and engaging prospective clients across assigned territories or segments.
  • Leverages tools such as Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and marketing campaigns to support outreach efforts.
  • Meets defined activity-based KPIs (calls, emails, meetings set) aligned to pipeline generation goals.


Sales Support & Opportunity Qualification



  • Conducts initial discovery conversations to understand client needs and determine alignment with Open Enrollment offerings.
  • Partners with senior sales team members to advance qualified opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Learns and applies foundational sales methodologies to support opportunity progression and client engagement.


CRM & Data Management



  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (D365), including prospect activity, opportunity updates, and contact information.
  • Supports data hygiene efforts by updating and enriching account and contact records.


Team Collaboration & Development



  • Works collaboratively with account teams and cross-functional partners to support new business efforts.
  • Participates in team meetings, sales training, and development opportunities to build sales capabilities.
  • Seeks feedback and coaching to continuously improve prospecting effectiveness and sales skills.


Education



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred


Experience/Work Background



  • 3-5 years of professional experience; prior exposure to sales, customer-facing roles, or internships preferred
  • Interest in developing a career in B2B sales, business development, or client engagement
  • Exposure to outbound prospecting, customer service, or lead generation is a plus


Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong interest in prospecting, outreach, and building new client relationships
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage professionally with clients
  • Coachable, curious, and motivated to learn sales processes and techniques
  • Organized with attention to detail, particularly in CRM data entry and activity tracking
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple priorities
  • Comfortable using technology including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Outreach.io is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team


Travel Requirements



  • Minimal travel required (up to 10-15%)

The hiring range for this role is $75,000-76,000 annually, with offers based on relevant qualifications and experience.
