Submarine Combat System Support Engineer

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a senior-level Program Manager or PM Analyst with experience, passion, and purpose to provide acquisition program management support to a Naval submarine program. On our team, your responsibilities will include technical engineering support to submarine combat and weapon control systems, providing direct support to the chief engineer with technical oversight and direction to the integration of Non-Developmental Item (NDI) applications. You will perform technical reviews on submittals, including drawings, system diagrams, technical manual, test or install procedures, test results, contract deliverable reviews, and delivery milestones. You will troubleshoot, analyze, and determine operating problems, and make appropriate recommendations and changes to correct deficiencies in coordination with the program chief engineer and Technical Direction Agent (TDA) team. You will provide technical concurrence for the NDI applications in support of entrance into formal test and delivery milestones.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering or science management, or operations research analysis
  • 5+ years of experience with Navy acquisition or In-Service Programs
  • 2+ years of experience with Navy Engineering Support
  • Experience running a meeting, and taking minutes or managing actions
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Ability to analyze and process engineering program documentation, develop, document, or implement new processes, analyze program risks, and develop risk assessments
  • Ability to be proactive, and work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Cybersecurity field

Nice If You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience in engineering or science management, or operations research analysis
  • 10+ years of experience with Navy acquisition or In-Service Programs
  • Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer
  • Experience with Navy or DoD Acquisition programs, and Navy or DoD Test and Evaluation programs
  • Experience with U.S. Navy submarines or Navy combat systems
  • Experience with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) programs and processes
  • Experience with submarine combat systems
  • Experience with Agile software development and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with web-based project management tools such as Jira, including creating and managing projects, boards, and workflows
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
