About the Role

As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in upholding the highest quality standards for electrical low voltage systems. You will be at the heart of ensuring that every component meets rigorous specifications, from prototype to production. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical acumen and problem-solving skills to complex challenges, collaborating with diverse teams and external partners to elevate product quality and drive continuous improvement. What You'll Do



  • Serve as a key liaison between Quality, Incoming Quality Control, Engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and support ongoing supplier performance.
  • Review root cause analyses and provide technical support as needed to help drive effective corrective actions.
  • Provide onsite support to validate containment actions and confirm implementation of corrective actions at supplier locations.
  • Assess new and late product design changes and provide remote support to help verify successful implementation.
  • Maintain a clear flow of information by communicating supplier quality issues internally and sharing critical requirements with suppliers.
  • Review prototype and production part quality documentation submitted by suppliers and provide feedback.
  • Develop prototype Control Plans and PFMEAs, perform audits, and drive closure of identified gaps.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across the supply base using quality and lean manufacturing tools.
  • Support and improve supplier quality processes related to assessments, supplier management, part approval, and corrective actions.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing within automotive, aviation, or medical device environments.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction and supporting quality systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, Pareto analysis, regression analysis, ANOVA, DOE, fishbone analysis, Red X, and Is/Is Not.
  • Experience using quality tools such as Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and Process Capability.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes related to PCB/PCBA, wiring harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and electrical components.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9000 and IATF 16949.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to supplier manufacturing facilities.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with vehicle harness manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret wire harness diagrams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for wiring harnesses.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Certification such as ASQ, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Six Sigma Black Belt.
