The Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Administrative Director of Quality and partnering closely with the Chief Quality Officer (CQO) and Enterprise Quality Team, will independently lead and manage enterprise-wide quality initiatives. These initiatives span key domains of the quality infrastructure-including Hospital Quality, Compliance, Infection Control, Risk & Safety, and other system-wide priorities-in alignment with Mass General Brigham's Quality strategy and goals.
This role requires exceptional organizational and project management skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly complex, matrixed environment. The Senior Project Manager will work with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with teams across the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO), enterprise hospitals, and external partners. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: *Lead multiple, high-priority projects aligned with CQO and enterprise-wide quality goals. *Partner with executive, clinical, and operational leaders to drive initiatives that improve patient safety and quality outcomes. *Develop, implement, and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables; proactively identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track. *Facilitate enterprise-wide working groups and/or committees, ensuring clear objectives, effective collaboration, and measurable results. *Create and maintain project documentation and records (e.g., distribution lists, organizational charts, agendas, meeting notes/minutes) to ensure transparency and accountability. *Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise and with external vendors/partners. *Promote and model Mass General Brigham values in all interactions and decisions, fostering a culture of accountability, respect, continuous learning, and collaboration. *Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. *Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. *Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. *Communicates regularly on project status with project stakeholders. *Owns project plans for multiple large-scale projects. *Provides guidance to project coordinators and project managers. *Identifies potential risks early, analyzes the possible impact, and develops mitigation strategies.
