Job Summary:

The Regional Director provides leadership and oversight for programs supporting people with identified needs under Minnesota's 245D licensing standards. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality, person-centered services. Essential functions include managing multiple program sites, supervising, and developing staff, maintaining budgets and staffing plans, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and driving quality assurance and training initiatives. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of 245D regulations, proven leadership experience, and the ability to balance compliance, quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

In accordance with Minnesota Statute 245D.81 (subd. 1-5) and 245D.09, the Regional Director must meet one of the following education and experience pathways.



  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Human Service or comparable related experience is required.


  • The designated manager must be competent to perform the duties as required with a minimum of three years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to people with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.


  • Knowledge of provision of service for people with identified needs in Minnesota.
  • Driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • Five years' work experience with similar population, including 2 years in a leadership and management position is required.
